Common questions

How do I continue a puzzle I left?
Puzzles save automatically, every move. Unfinished puzzles appear on the Continue shelf at the top of the gallery. Tap one to carry on, or touch and hold it and choose Remove from Continue.
Can I have more than one puzzle going?
Yes, one per photo. If you tap a photo that already has a puzzle in progress, the app asks whether to continue it or start a new one.
How do I change the number of pieces?
Choose 6, 24, 54, 96 or 150 under Pieces in the gallery before tapping a photo. A puzzle keeps the piece count it was started with.
What do the toolbar buttons do?
Preview shows the whole photo. Edges only dims the middle pieces. Tidy up moves loose pieces to the sides of the table. Shuffle scatters the puzzle and starts it over. The … menu has the ghost guide (a faint image of the finished picture on the table) and switches for sounds and, on iPhone, haptics.
On iPhone the pieces are small.
Pinch to zoom the table. One finger on empty table pans, and one finger on a piece drags it.
A photo will not open.
The first time you open a photo it is downloaded, so you need a connection. Four photos are built into the app and always work offline. Pull down on the gallery to refresh the library.
Who took these photos?
Tap the info button in the gallery for the photographer, licence and a link to the original on Wikimedia Commons for every photo.
Does the app collect my data?
No. See the privacy policy.
